Types Of Personal Faulty Foundations
Let us look more closely on different types of personal faulty foundation.
1. FAULTY MARRIAGE FOUNDATIONS
Contracting a marriage in our society requires three basic fundamental steps to be taken which are: (a)Traditional (Introduction), (b) Legal (or government) and (c) Spiritual aspects.
(a) The Traditional Marriage:
It is the contracting of marriage according to the customs and traditions of the people involved. This involves payment of bride price, giving of gifts like cows and fulfilling the rites required usually by the bride’s family. However, as a Christian it is expected and is absolutely necessary that the couple involved should uphold and maintain Christian principles in conducting this aspect of their marriage. Most Christians have compromised their faith in trying to fulfill this aspect of marriage.
A sister told me that in their culture, on the day of the introduction (traditional marriage), the bride must sleep with her would-be father-in-law as a fulfillment of the traditional rite. Such a tradition will definitely lay a faulty foundation for the marriage.
If there are things which according to the principles of Christian faith you did at the contracting of your marriage, such things have opened the door to the enemy and such things need to be addressed and dealt with properly. Such include:
- Did you use any abnormal means of attracting your spouse into the relationship (e.g. Juju, love portions etc)?
- Was there any blood covenant made between the two of you to commit yourselves to a marriage or to a different person?
- Were you involved in abortion before and/ or after your marriage with your spouse or other persons?
- Have you raped or been a victim of rape?
- Was there any opposition against your marriage?
- Were there grievous negative pronouncements or curses made against you or your marriage?
- What were your involvement and things done by you or on your behalf during your introduction (traditional marriage) like sacrifices, rituals, family rites and pouring of libation?
- Are there outstanding things you have not done concerning your marriage, especially the traditional aspects e.g. payment of bride price, gifts, etc.?
- Were you betrothed or preserved for someone to marry against your present relationship?
- Has there been any case, traits, feeling or evidence of spirit spouse in your life (physical or in dreams)?
- Have you made grievous pronouncements or curses against your spouse or vice versa?
Sincere answers to the above questions would help as guide to discover if a marriage is built on a faulty foundation or not.
2. SATANIC DEDICATIONS:
This evil foundation is similar to what we discussed above. Many of these so called traditional practices are actually occultism and abominable customs which involve dedications and defilement of the victims. See the Scripture: (Leviticus 18:29-30)
Some of these abominable customs, which constitute faulty foundation, include female/male adult circumcision, masquerade and traditional dances, incisions, traditional burial, dedications of babies on sacred stones or before river goddess etc. All these practices load people with demons, tie up people and their destinies in shrines and give evil spirits unlimited assess into peoples’ lives.
3. SPIRIT SPOUSE AND SPIRIT CHILDREN
Some Christians still have the persistent problems of spirit spouse and spirit children. Some born again Christians still have sexual relationship in their dreams. Some have sexual acts with particular faces while some have it with varied faces. Some have multiple sex in one night while some are raped by group of men in their dreams. These experiences result in sicknesses, bad luck, miscarriages, barrenness etc.
Some believers’ marriages are broken and their businesses or careers destroyed by rival spirit. Some women who have had children physically also have children in dreams. Some are not able to have babies in the physical but they have children in the spiritual realm. Some of these spiritual children prevent their mothers from having physical babies. Some spirit children are known to incite the husband of their victims to throw the women out of the marriages. Some spirit children out of jealousy attack and afflict physical children with sicknesses and even often kill them.
A sister had a dream where she was breastfeeding a baby whom she thought was her real baby but on a closer look she discovered that it was a strange baby. She unsuccessfully tried to push away the baby but all her efforts were resisted by the “little baby” who ended up biting the nipples of the sister. She woke up from that dream with so much pain on her breast. Eventually she submitted herself to a medical examination and it was discovered that she had cancer. Spirit spouse is a major reason why so many singles are not getting married because the spirit spouse will fight with the last drop of their blood to see that such a sister/ brother does not get married in the physical.
A sister suffered terribly in the hands of her spirit spouse in all her attempt to settle down in life. When the first man showed interest in marrying her, she was warned by her spirit spouse not to get married to the man because she is already married to him in the spirit, but when the sister persisted in going ahead with the marriage preparations, her would-be husband died mysteriously a day before her introduction. After some few years, another man showed interest again in marrying this sister, she was again warned by her spirit spouse but when she stubbornly continued with her plans to marry this new man, the man had a terrible car accident and died instantly. It was when she joined us for serious deliverance ministration that she was able to settle down in marriage.
Beloved, spirit spouses are jealous, cruel and wicked. If you have these problems you will need to pray like a wounded lion and also submit to a total deliverance ministration.
4. RELIGIOUS PERVERSION
Whenever we move from truth to falsehood, we enter into darkness where Satan reigns. In this territory, Satan has a legal ground to execute manipulation and oppression.
From the Old Testament, God has revealed Himself and what is the mode of worship acceptable to Him. For instance, in Exodus 20:4-5, He said:
“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.”
The bible made it clear that we should not worship angels (See Colossians 2:18), or man (See Acts 10:25-26).
Religious perversion attracts a serious curse, as Galatians 1:6-9 (NLT) says,
“I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God who in his love and mercy called you to share the eternal life he gives through Christ. You are already following a different way that pretends to be good news but is not the good news at all… Even if an angel comes from heaven and preaches any other message, let him be forever cursed. I will say again if anyone preaches any other gospel than the one you welcomed, let God’s curse fall upon that person.”
The above scripture also describes the nature of religious perversion. This is why former members of such religious cult would need to go for counseling and deliverance, because some of them were initiated into these perverse groups through strange baptism, holy water, sacrifice in the rivers, praying rosary and bowing to an image in the name of religion.
Some people came from a church where Mary is worshipped, prayed to or excessively honored. This strange ‘Mary’ that desire worship is one of the manifestations of the queen of heaven and must not be confused with Mary the Mother of Jesus Christ, who is now in heaven. Mary the mother of Jesus Christ went to heaven only because she later believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was one of the 120 disciples who tarried in the upper room to receive the Holy Ghost baptism. (Acts 1:8-14).
5. BLOODSHED
An individual may have been involved in bloodshed through murder, man slaughter, warfare, abortion, sorcery etc. The sin of blood letting establishes an evil foundation. The major problem is that the shed blood keeps speaking against the one who has shed blood in the manner of Job 16:18:
“O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place.”
This speaking may continue to attract a curse and impose hindrances on the person who had earlier shed blood until the appropriate prayer ministrations are done.
This ministration would involve bringing repentance forth sin of bloodletting and silencing the speaking of vengeance using the blood of Jesus Christ.
“And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel”. (Heb.12:24)
Some women suffer from habitual miscarriages. They have strange dreams whenever they are pregnant. Such people would need deliverance with a preparedness to repent of all sins of bloodletting, especially for carrying out abortions or sponsoring abortions.
6. WRONG NAMES
In every culture, some sentiments or principles guide the giving of names. Names have meaning and there is a spirit behind names. Sometimes people say that their names have no meaning, this is not quite true. Some people believe that the meaning of a name is not important and do not see how a name could have any influence on their lives. The bible establishes that names influence the lives, experiences and destinies of their bearers. In other words, names provide a foundation for a person’s life.
A Satanic, idolatrous or wrong name will constitute a faulty foundation in a person’s life:
“Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal: FOR AS HIS NAME IS, SO IS HE; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him: but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my Lord, whom thou didst send.” (1 Samuel 25:25)
In other words, the foolishness of Nabal was true to his name.
The name Jabez was given to Jabez by his mother:
“And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, BECAUSE I BARE HIM WITH SORROW.” (1 Chronicles 4:9).
Apparently the ‘spirit’ of his name made him a person who caused pain. One can therefore understand the last line of Jabez radical prayer for deliverance:
“Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” (1 Chronicles 4:10)
I do not know what your view is, but God’s view is that some people’s names would stop them from fulfilling their destinies in God. This is the major reason why God Himself gave some people new names, which are in line with His prophetic purpose for their lives.
Sometimes when a child is given a name after a dead or living person, a soul-tie may be established between the child and the familiar spirit impersonating the original bearer of the name. If your name is offensive to God, He would find it difficult to mention it.
This fact may deny you the blessings you deserve! Wrong names could also establish satanic covenants or set in motion negative prophetic manifestations in a person’s life. Unfortunately, some people who have understood this are still dragging their feet concerning a change of name.
Such names should be renounced and changed, breaking the evil associated with such names and a new be given that will glorify God release the blessings of God upon such a person.

How To Deal With Personal Faulty Foundation
Dealing with personal faulty foundation would normally involve counseling, repentance, renouncement of covenants with Satan, breaking of curses and covenants and deliverance ministrations. Deliverance is essential in dealing with faulty personal foundations and the bondage imposed on an individual by Satan.
However, I should mention that it does not help much to minister deliverance to one who is still living in sin, and who is not yet ready to repent and receive Jesus Christ as Lord. This is because the bible shows clearly that the state of the person would be worse than the state before deliverance.
“But afterward Jesus found him in the temple and told him, now you are well; so stop sinning or something even worse may happen to you” (John 5:14, NLT)
No matter what an unbeliever sees as the manifestation of faulty foundations, such a person needs salvation first! For an unbeliever, salvation is indeed the beginning of deliverance. So if you want to give your life to Jesus Christ in order to get saved, then say the prayer below:
“Lord Jesus, I come to you. I acknowledge that I am a sinner, forgive me and cleanse me with your precious blood, remove my names from the book of death and write my names in the book of life. Satan, I reject you, I divorce you, I am now born again. Jesus, I surrender my life to you now, come into my life and become my Lord and Savior; fill me with your Holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus for saving my soul. Amen!”

Steps in Dealing with FAULTY FOUNDATIONS
1. REPENTANCE:
Repentance is 70% deliverance because it restores one to a place of good standing with God by submitting to Him in order to resist the devil.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7).
Repentance also restores the authority of the believer to bind devil and also weakens the position and the authority of Satan in ones life.
“ If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
2. KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of what is wrong and the source of the problem helps deliverance a lot. Proverbs 11:9b says, “but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.”
Sometimes the Holy Spirit moves in sovereignty to bring about deliverance for somebody, but usually one need to know that something is wrong, what is actually wrong and how the problem came about.
3. RENUNCIATION:
Oaths, promises, agreements and covenants entered directly or indirectly with Satan and his demons give rise to evil foundations and are often the basis of sustained captivity. But sometimes one unknowingly enters into oaths, agreement or covenants because they were implied in the rituals, sacrifices, ceremonies which include making of incisions or tattoos on the body, pouring of libation, traditional child dedication etc. All these and more are things that must be violently renounced after repentance.
4. CONFESSION:
The confession of one’s position in Christ helps deliverance from faulty foundation. Making confessions aloud, based on what the Bible says about us weakens the position of demons thus making deliverance easy. Confessions like the ones given below are quite helpful.
“I am redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus and not by anything less so I refuse to remain in bondage.” (Based on 1 Peter 1:18-19)
“I am bought with a price and I belong completely to Jesus. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and not the temple of demons.” (Based on 1 Cor.6:19-20)
“The son of man has set me free and I must remain free of all satanic bondage.”(Based on John 8:36)
5. COMMAND:
Usually demons are expelled as we give them authoritative commands in the name of Jesus. Jesus gave us power and authority over demons and to cast them out.
PRAYER POINTS.
1. Oh, God arise and let my stronghold scatter in the name of Jesus
2. Every stronghold mounted against my destiny. I pull you down in the name of Jesus
3. Every ancestral strong man be bound and be destroyed in the name of Jesus
4. Every promise made by my parents on my behalf to any dark power, be broken in Jesus name
5. Every inherited problem in my life, enough is enough, die in the name of Jesus
6. Every pattern of family destruction, be dismantled in the name of Jesus
7. (Lay your hand on any ailing part of your body) Every trace of infirmity, vanish in the name of Jesus
8. Every yoke developer, carry your yoke in the name of Jesus
9. Foundational curses, break by the blood of Jesus in the name of Jesus
10. Foundational evil covenants break by the blood of Jesus inthe name of Jesus
11. I oppose every opposition, I pursue every pursuer, and I oppress every oppressor in Jesus name
12. Every foundational marine power, die in the name of Jesus
13. Every idol in my foundation, receive the consuming fire of God in Jesus name
14. Every ancestral transmission of affliction, die in the name of Jesus.
